Welcome! My name is Tamirra, and I’m a self-taught cook, baker, and writer from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

My devotion to cooking comes by way of nature and nurture. I learned from my father, who has worked in the culinary and hospitality industries for as long as I can remember. Our bond was nourished in first bites and one-on-one lessons in how to cook with ease, finesse, and respect for ingredients. He gave me gentle guidance and freedom to explore in the kitchen, and it fed my confidence. I learned to honor my creativity and intuition from our time shared.

I currently live in Washington, DC with my poodle, Navy, and I’m working toward launching a baking business. I hope my stories and recipes inspire you to make something you enjoy. If you’re in the DMV, I hope you’ll support my business when I launch.
